Careers - The Wisdom Corner
By Karen Heck, Creative Career Consultant and Owner of Give Yourself Power Published: 01/08/2009
I saw this ad online with a young lady looking happy and satisfied and at the end of the ad, it said "find your own version of happiness now"! It was an online dating service ad, but the slogan really stuck with me!
Find your own version of happiness not only applies to the "personals", but this philosophy can be applied and will work in finding the right career as well.
All you need to do is to get into the right mind set, sit down and document on paper what will make you happy, what happiness looks like to you and this will help you to understand what direction you must take to make your happiness a reality.
Arm yourself with the necessary tools to get you from point A to point B,
add drive and a strong belief that you can and will do it, then take action to
make it happen.
Your version of happiness doesn't have to be mainstream or traditional, it needs to be your very own personal version of what will make you happy. Set out today on your own personal path, have fun in finding your own version
of happiness and remember "Success is a journey, not a destination. The
doing is often much more important than the outcome.
